This is the day I’ve been looking forward to the most. Today we get to ride the Transfăgărășan Highway, the greatest road in the world.
Once we are back on the main roads it’s just ride and find, if we see something that we like we stop, if not we break when we need to and hit Deva as early as possible

Sebes
But The city was built by German settlers (Transylvanian Saxons), but actually originating from the region of Rhine and Moselle - on the territory of the Hungarian Kingdom in the second half of the 12th century and became an important city in medieval Transylvania It is believed that there may have been an earlier rural settlement (12 century), with a Romanian and Pecheneg population, situated east of today's city.
Deva
I can’t find much about Deva other than its name was first recorded in 1269. I just plan on eating and sleeping and getting ready for another day on the road
This is also meant to be a rest place (day off) but as there is not much to do here we will mount up again in the morning and head out Hungary.
